“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
Tim Tebow has been in the spotlight since college from wearing Scriptures under his eyes. I am sure a lot of players do this now and did it before. Tim got the spotlight because of his talent on and off the football field.
Since college we all know that Tim had a short career in the NFL and then moved on to baseball. He still had the spotlight and he wasn’t even one of the top players in baseball. Now he is all over the headlines again for joining Jacksonville as a tight end.
Tim is a prime example of staying the course no matter what the critics say. He was always doing what he loved whether it was on the baseball or football field. Some people think Tebow is over the top with his faith. I would disagree. Tebow is so passionate about his faith that it might offend people. Remember Jesus and the disciples offended people all the time because of their passion!
Tebow is a prime example of living for Jesus no matter the circumstances. If you stop and think about all the events and money he gives to organizations to build the Kingdom, you have to admit it’s more than sports for Tebow. He is a unique guy that puts Jesus above everything else and he always seems to succeed in everything he does.
Tebow’s work ethic is on a other level than most people. This was something that was instilled in him at a young age, and this is another reason he has succeeded on each stage.
We could sit here debate the kneeling of Tebow praying on the football field or debate he will not succeed at tight end in the NFL. This would only take away from the whole point of this writing session. This is what the world wants to focus on because it takes away from what Tebow ultimately stands for. He stands for living a life like Jesus. This has been his mission since we all heard about Tebow and it has only gotten bigger.
We have to stop and think. It is pretty wild that Urban Meyer came to Jacksonville and now Tebow is back with him years later. He stayed the course. These men had no idea this would happen when they were both at Florida. You might not like either of these men, but you have to admit this is pretty wild.
How does this apply to you and me? We have to always remember the combination of Tebow. A solid work ethic and a life focused on Jesus equals success. It doesn’t matter the stage you have been placed on. You are where you are so embrace it! Maybe it is where you want to be or you made decisions that placed you where you are. If you embrace your stage, work hard, and love Jesus you will succeed. We have to remember actions are more valuable than words!
Remember this. If you are not happy where you are in life right now. It is up to you to make changes to improve your life. It will not happen overnight, but it will if you set goal, work hard, and focus on Jesus. The choice is yours!
