Wise, Evil, and Careful

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:15-16‬

I believe we could all say that we live in a world filled of evil. All you have to do is turn on any news channel for 3-5 minutes to understand we are surrounded by evil. When was the last time you saw or heard anything positive or uplifting on the news channels?

I haven’t! It’s all evil! From murders, politicians acting like they are gods, drug bust, children being kidnapped or taken for sex trafficking, or people being trashed for a decision they made.

That is one reason it’s says be careful. I even noticed in the past election I got to wrapped up in the whole process and it changed my attitude and honestly made me angry. Was that making the most of every opportunity? No! It was bringing division among friends, neighbors, colleagues, and family. It was not even worth it because what could I really change in a Presidency race!

Being wise and hanging around wise people that are biblically sound will only make you a better person. The saying “what you hang around, is what you will become.” This is a very true statement and it has happened to everyone at least once or twice, if you are being honest with yourself!

Kindness wins every battle as revenge only continues the battle. Hanging out with wise men will only make you wise. Well this is half true because you have to want to become wise, you have to want to be kind, and you have to want to follow Jesus. Our lives are filled with choices everyday and the choices we make will impact our lives, our loved ones lives, and most of all our relationship with Jesus because we will begin to distance ourselves from Him if we are unwise and that never works out well for anyone.

Chose to be wise and hang out with wise individuals to make you the best version of you! It’s up to you!
